A travel risk event for the world’s most famous brands

On the 5th of June this year at the Montcalm Hotel in London, ‘Travel Risk Media’ created a ‘Pop Up’ peer group of travel risk professionals from some of the world’s largest organisations.

We wanted to ensure this delegation, whilst from an array of differing sectors and industries, could relate to and learn from each other when it came to travel risk management. For this reason we took the decision to build a strict criteria for delegate registration and chose to use a ‘by invitation’ approach.

The results were immediately apparent, with our Chairman for the day William Sandover opening the discussion and creating pathways for the sharing or experiences, challenges, success and failures.

Travel risk stakeholders from organisations such EY, British Airways, Google, Facebook, MasterCard, PwC, Royal Dutch Shell, Amnesty International, NATO, HSBC and Deutsch Bank to name just a few, took part in what turned out to be a valuable day for the sharing of lessons learned and for expanding of professional networks.

The simple voting system used created powerful and immediate feedback throughout the sessions and we will be putting some of those results into our next ‘Annual Travel Risk Review’.

The day focused not on the risks themselves or the need to ‘get this right’ but on the ways in which differing businesses of similar size and profile were meeting these challenges head on and how the discipline of travel risk management was maturing and evolving.
